me and dog, happy
Most of the CDs I ordered have arrived.  I got my shipment from FIDIM yesterday and the one from CD Baby arrived today.  I'm still waiting for one from Amazon and a used CD (Weird Al's Even Worse) that I ordered from half.com.  I suppose I might as well write a bit about them, since I don't seem to be updating as often as I'd like.

FIDIM sent me Rob Balder's For Amusement Only and Rich Fantasy Lives and Worm Quartet's Stupid Video Game Music.  I was going to get the Bards' A Faire to Remember from CD Baby, but they had this buy 3, get them for $5 each sale, and Songs of Ireland was part of it and Faire wasn't, so I got Songs of Ireland.  I had a hard time picking the other two CDs.  I considered A Brobdingnagian Christmas and Raymond & Scum's Touch It, but rejected them because I already had MP3s of most of the songs from those CDs.  I ended up going with two people I'd never heard of: Sheri Elf's I'm Forcing Goodness Upon You and a self-titled album from Witches in Bikinis.

They're all pretty good.  I thing I'll go over my favorite song from each one now:

For Amusement Only - "Narsil"  What's not to like about a country style Tolkien song?
Rich Fantasy Lives - "Always a Goth Chick" I have no real reason for picking this one.
Stupid Video Game Music - "Boning Away On the Ottoman" OK, this is probably why I love the song, but still it's funny.
Songs of Ireland
- "Johnny at the Door" Hey, it's about a drinking ghost.
I'm Forcing Goodness Upon You - "Ron's Appliance" This was a song about a wrong number, and it was between this and the Jesus at the hardware store song.
Witches in Bikinis - "Horror Flick Chicks" These were some seriously weird songs, but I liked this one the best because it's about the stupid way some women get killed in horror movies.

All in all, I like these a lot.
